Dr. Nandekar is a management graduate and gold medalist. He holds multiple academic qualifications, including an MBA, M.Phil, and a degree in Dairy Technology. His strong educational foundation laid the groundwork for his leadership in both the business and social sectors.

Career

Dr. Nandekar began his professional journey as a Dairy Technologist in a milk dairy before transitioning into the media industry. His early work at the Children’s Film Society India marked a turning point, where he contributed to the production of the acclaimed television series Jungle Book – The Mowgli Story.

He is credited with pioneering the launch of several key television channels in India, including DD Metro, Zee Cinema, and multiple regional channels that expanded the country’s entertainment landscape.

As the Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of Universal Communications Ltd., Dr. Nandekar has played a crucial role in shaping the modern Indian media environment. The company specializes in advertising, television programming, events, and film production.
