Basharat Abbas (born 25 October 1985) is an Indian entrepreneur, brand architect, and communication strategist. He is the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Enthusionz, a marketing and digital communications agency headquartered in Bangalore, India. Basharat has been the brand architect for more than 350 brands worldwide—guiding them through the complexities of strategy, and storytelling in a fast-changing digital landscape. He is also known for his long-standing association with Pinkathon, India’s largest women’s wellness movement by bollywood actor and fitness icon Milind Soman, where he has overseen social and brand strategy since its inception.

In 2018, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by IFA and recently was recognised among India’s “40 Under 40” emerging leaders.

Early life and education

Basharat was born in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, into a family dedicated to education. Both of his parents were teachers, and he is the youngest among three siblings—his elder sisters being a doctor and a scientist, respectively.

Demonstrating a passion for research from a young age, one of his innovations, a device to generate electricity from weeds, was selected for the National Register of Grassroot Innovations by the National Innovation Foundation, and he had the opportunity to meet India’s ex President and renowned Scientist Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam

He completed his schooling at IMI in Anantnag, pursued a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Bangalore University through Brindavan College, and later earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) from the Kirloskar Institute of Management. At Kirloskar, he founded the institute’s first Brand Club and became known among peers as the "Brand Man" for his focus on branding.

Career

In 2011, Basharat founded Enthusionz, a full-service marketing and brand communications agency particularly focusing on the digital landscape. As CEO, he has led the firm in developing brand strategies for over 350 organizations across industries such as healthcare, education, fintech, consumer goods, real estate, and social impact.

In 2018, Basharat received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Innovative Film Academy at the Innovative International Film Festival for his influence on brand evolution within the entertainment and creative sectors.

Work with Pinkathon

One of Basharat’s most prominent roles has been his decade-long association with Pinkathon, India’s largest women's wellness movement, founded by actor Milind Soman. Since Pinkathon’s inception, Basharat has led its brand strategy across 36+ events, playing a critical role in shaping it as a movement centered around women's fitness and empowerment.
