Her acting career began with her debut in “Bhalobasha.com” serial (2010), Star Jalsha. She further played lots of serials in serials such as “Tapur Tupur”, “Bene Bou”, “Tumi robe nirobe”, “Guru Dakshina”, “Bhakter Bhagaban Shri Krishna”, “Andarmahal” and popular televisions like “Bhanumotir khel”, “Kundo Phuler Mala” and popular web-series.

Payel made her television debut in “Bhalobasha.com” serial (2010), Star Jalsha and appeared on popular Sony channel series CID and Aahat 2. She played a very important role (grand daughter role) in “Palatak” movie with late Soumitra Chattopadhyay, Directed by Nehal Dutta. She has also been involved in notable webseries like Chahida, Lovebirds, Lovesin.

Apart from acting, Payel has her own Production house , Payel Sarkar Organization pvt ltd, organizes popular award shows in Bengal. She is also featured in music video album song “Swarosini” , directed by Sahel Saha, with her own production house which released in Incoda TV and it has been run successfully full Kolkata Metro stations.

Payel is the Managing Director of Payel Sarkar Organization Pvt. Ltd., a production house responsible for organizing some of Bengal's biggest award shows, such as Bongo Kriti Samman and Starlight Annonya Samman.

She has also featured in the music video album Swarosini, directed by Sahel Saha and released on Incoda TV. The video successfully ran across all Kolkata Metro stations.^[13]

Personal life

Payel is the daughter of Mr. Gopal Sarkar and Mrs. Baby Sarkar is a mother. Her father is a owner of the restaurant “Blue-Moon restaurant” and her mother is a owner of Beauty Parlour. Payel manages her own Production company, Payel sarkar organization pvt ltd, and is involved in social work. She is a active member of political party All India Trinamool Congress. Payel is seen in all the campaigns of the political party All India Trinamool Congress as Payel is closely associated with the All India Trinamool Congress. She is a former West Bengal state General Secretary of ALL INDIA HUMAN RIGHTS & presently she is a state president of NATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION & CRIME CONTROL BUREAU.^[14]^[15]
