Rupesh Soni (born 14 April 2006) is an Indian amateur boxer from Islampur, Sector 38, Gurgaon, Haryana. He competes in the middleweight (75 kg) and light heavyweight (80 kg) divisions and has represented Haryana in state, national, and international competitions. He trains under the guidance of Shri Dharamvir Singh Thakran.

Early life and education

Rupesh Soni was born and raised in Islampur, Sector 38, Gurgaon, Haryana. His father is a businessman. Growing up in Haryana—widely recognised as a strong sporting state in India—he developed an early interest in athletics and combat sports, particularly boxing.

He completed his secondary education (10th standard) in 2022 and his senior secondary education (12th standard) in 2025. During his school years, he balanced academics with competitive training and began participating in state-level boxing tournaments.

Rupesh Soni trains under Shri Dharamvir Singh Thakran. Under his mentorship, he progressed from junior-level state championships to national competitions and international youth tournaments, competing primarily in the 75 kg and later the 80 kg categories.
