Tanmoy Mondal

Tanmoy Mondal (born 6 May 1995) is an Indian film director, producer, actor, singer, lyricist, music director, editor, and writer, known for his work in the Bengali film industry (Tollywood). He is the founder of the production house The Tanmoy Mondal Entertainment (TTME) and the music label TTME MUSIC.

Career

Mondal began his career in 2015 as an actor, singer, and composer. He transitioned into independent filmmaking in 2016. His directorial debut, the music video Keno Aaj Amar, was released on 21 July 2017. He later directed his first short film, Kabita.

His first feature film, Moumita, released on 9 February 2018, made him the youngest independent filmmaker in the Bengali industry at the time.

In 2024, Mondal received two Best Director Awards: one from Film Award Kolkata and another from the Reels International Film Festival for his short film Tomari Opekkhay. He also received the Best Actor Award at the Indo Bangla International Film Festival for Tomar Sathe Dekha.

He became the first filmmaker to be honored with the prestigious Vishwa Ratna Award and the Rashtriya Pratibha Samman.
