He is the founder and director of Chai Waale, a quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain specializing in tea-based beverages and snacks. Under his leadership, the brand has expanded across Chennai and established itself as one of South India’s leading tea café chains.

Early Life and Education

Vidur Maheswari was born on 11 June 1994 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He attended Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kilpauk, Chennai, before moving to the United Kingdom for higher studies.

He pursued a degree in Business Management at King’s College London (2012–2015). During this period, he also completed a program in Corporate Governance and Corporate Finance at Harvard University in 2014.

Career

In 2018, Maheswari founded Chai Waale Trades Private Limited , launching Chai Waale as a QSR brand in Chennai. The chain was created with a vision of offering affordable, hygienic, and modern tea cafés catering to India’s growing urban population.

Since its inception, Chai Waale has partnered with leading institutions and establishments, including Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL), Phoenix Marketcity, and multiple IIT campuses.
