Varun Gupta is an Indian digital analytics architect, consultant, and strategist with over 16 years of experience in web analytics implementation, strategic consulting, data governance, and marketing technology (MarTech) optimisation. He is recognised for designing scalable tag management solutions for enterprise-level websites, leading international analytics teams, and aligning data-driven strategies with business goals.
Early Life and Education
Gupta earned his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical & Electronics from IMS Engineering College in 2008. He holds multiple professional certifications, including Adobe Certified Master in Adobe Analytics Architecture, Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) credentials, Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ), and GTM certifications.
Career
Gupta began his career in 2009 as an analyst at Patni Computers, followed by a role as Technical Consultant at Adobe Systems (2011–2013). He later joined Sapient Consulting in marketing strategy and analysis, before moving to Tech Mahindra as a module lead for web analytics in 2013.
From 2015 to 2018, Gupta worked at Adobe in roles such as solution audit analyst and customer success manager. He oversaw large-scale web analytics integrations, drove multimillion-dollar revenue growth through conversion rate optimisation, and conducted technical audits that improved site performance.
In 2018, he became digital analytics implementation manager at Bankwest, Australia, where he standardised Adobe DTM and mobile app tracking. He later returned to freelancing, helping enterprises with Adobe DTM to Launch migration, data layer design, and advanced tracking.
In 2022, Gupta joined Eurowings Digital in Germany as an analytics implementation engineer, optimising marketing pixel integrations and KPI frameworks. He later served as head of digital analytics at Plan Net Journey, Munich, managing a 60+ member team and launching global data solutions.
Since 2024, Gupta has worked as an independent consultant from Noida, delivering analytics implementation, MarTech audits, and insights strategies for global businesses.
