Jay Patel (entrepreneur)
Jay Patel is widely known for his humanitarian contributions. In collaboration with actor Randeep Hooda, he initiated a large-scale reforestation project using the Miyawaki method, resulting in the plantation of over 300,000 trees across India.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jay played a key role in providing medical aid and supplies. In India, he supported the PM CARES Fund and aided health institutions and frontline workers in cities like Mumbai and Ahmedabad. In the United States, through his organization Global Impact Innovation (GII), he led the production and distribution of nearly 100,000 gallons of sanitizer, with major donations going to hospitals, homeless shelters, and emergency responders.[1]
Patel has a long-standing record of community service. After the 9/11 attacks in the U.S., he and his friend Tom Ryan volunteered with firefighters to assist fellow citizens. He also worked with the Red Cross during the 2003 Northeast Blackout to evacuate people and distribute emergency supplies.[2]
He is a patron of global sports development, notably supporting Vishwaraj Jadeja, an international ice speed skater representing India. Patel's support has helped popularize ice skating in non-traditional regions and has inspired a generation of new athletes.
