Bhagat Singh Rescue Team Sriganganagar is an Indian humanitarian NGO based in Sriganganagar, Rajasthan. Founded on 21 February 2021 by social worker Rajinder Allsikha, the organisation is known for performing dignified funeral rites for unclaimed bodies, running elderly shelters, providing free education to underprivileged children, rescuing animals, and promoting anti-drug awareness.
The organisation’s operations are strengthened by trustee Kiran Verma, who plays a key leadership role alongside Allsikha in advancing the mission of service and compassion.
Founder
Rajinder Allsikha was born on 1 January 1998 in 9FA Majhiwala, Sriganganagar. His inspiration for creating the organisation emerged from witnessing the struggles of a poor family in Bikaner who lacked resources to conduct a funeral. Deeply moved, he arranged the last rites himself — marking the beginning of his humanitarian journey.
Vision and Philosophy
The organisation operates under the principle of “Respect for Humanity.” Its mission focuses on extending dignity, compassion, and support to abandoned individuals — including the deceased, destitute elders, vulnerable children, and helpless animals. For Allsikha, the organisation’s work represents both social responsibility and spiritual duty.
Activities
Funeral Services for Unclaimed Bodies
The organisation’s central work is the identification and dignified cremation or burial of abandoned or unidentified persons. Working with government agencies, the team conducts rites according to religious customs. To date, it has performed funerals for over 100 individuals across India.
