Dr. Abhinav Banerjee (born 16 April 1985) is an Indianpulmonologist, critical care specialist (intensivist), anaesthesiologist, author, and poet based in Moradabad, Western Uttar Pradesh. He serves as the lead consultant at Dr. Banerjee Clinic (established in 2021) and as a Consultant Physician in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at Brightstar Hospital, Moradabad.
With extensive clinical experience across India, the United Kingdom, and Europe, Dr. Banerjee holds medical registrations with both the Delhi Medical Council / National Medical Commission (MCI/DMC Reg: 70351) and the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom (GMC Reg: 7761547). He has trained and practiced at premier tertiary institutions including Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Tata Main Hospital, and the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (Queen's Hospital Burton, UK). Career
Early clinical residency and fellowships
From 2011 to 2014, Dr. Banerjee served as a Junior Resident in Anaesthesiology at Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur, administering general, regional, and neuroanaesthesia across multiple surgical disciplines.
Between December 2014 and February 2016, he worked as Registrar in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi, managing medical-surgical ICUs and invasive procedures. He subsequently joined Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi, as Senior Resident in Cardiac Critical Care (February 2016 – August 2016), managing temporary pacemakers, IABPs, pericardiocentesis, and supervised ECMO runs.
From August 2016 to August 2018, he served as Associate Specialist in Anaesthesia and Critical Care at Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur, leading ICU infection control, code blue mock drills, and delirium monitoring protocols.
