Dr. K. V. Satish (born Kilaparthy Velankanni Satish on 19 June 1977) is an Indian entrepreneur, real estate developer, industrialist, and philanthropist based in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He is the Founder and Chairman of the DS-MAX Group, a diversified multi-sector conglomerate anchored by DS-MAX Properties Pvt. Ltd., which specializes in affordable and mid-segment residential housing across South India.

Under his direction, the conglomerate expanded from residential property development into building material manufacturing, ready-mix concrete (RMC), mining, UPVC and aluminum fabrication, facility management, healthcare, and finance across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana.

Early life and education

Kilaparthy Velankanni Satish was born on 19 June 1977 in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, to Kilaparthy Samba Murthy.

He completed his undergraduate studies in business management in Visakhapatnam before moving to Karnataka to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Mysore. In recognition of his humanitarian initiatives and socio-economic contributions, an honorary doctorate was conferred upon him by a Sri Lankan university institution.

Corporate career and the DS-MAX Group

Early business ventures

Satish relocated to Bengaluru during his early career, initially working in commercial sales and distribution marketing imported educational materials, dictionaries, and children's literature.

Entry into real estate and DS-MAX Properties

Recognizing the rapid urban expansion and housing demand in Bengaluru, Satish shifted his focus to real estate marketing in 2005. In 2007, he formally incorporated DS-MAX Properties Pvt. Ltd. with the core objective of developing accessible, cost-effective residential housing for middle-income families under the corporate ethos "Sharing the Joy of Living."

The enterprise launched two initial residential projects in 2007, expanding to eight additional sites by 2008. Over the following decade, the company scaled operations across South India, developing and delivering tens of thousands of residential units across Bengaluru, Mysuru, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Vertical integration and diversification

To maintain supply chain control, reduce material costs, and ensure structural quality across its housing projects, Satish steered the DS-MAX Group through extensive vertical and horizontal integration:

  • Construction & Building Materials: Development of proprietary ready-mix concrete (RMC) plants, stone quarrying and mining operations, and manufacturing units for UPVC profiles, aluminum fittings, and pre-cast elements.
