Hannah Sarah Abraham (born 2 January 2003) is an Indian author, teacher, and postgraduate student in English Literature. She is best known for her novels T.E.A.R.S. and Children of The Dead, the latter of which earned her multiple literary awards. She is currently working on her third novel, The Black Widow (La Viuda Negra), set in Madrid, Spain, to be published by Leadstart Publishing (One Point Six Technologies).[1]
Early Life and Education
Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Hannah studied at CSI Jessie Moses School from LKG to 12th grade. She later graduated with a BA in English Literature from Women's Christian College in 2023, and in 2024 enrolled in an MA English Literature program at Anna Adarsh College for Women (2024–2026 batch).
She is fluent in seven languages — English, Tamil, Malayalam, French, Spanish, German, and Italian. She cites Paula Hawkins, Maya Angelou, and the video game character Lara Croft as key inspirations.
Career
In 2023, she volunteered as a student assistant and Spanish interpreter at the first-ever Chennai International Book Fair. In June 2025, she completed a month-long internship as a content writer at a Chennai-based digital marketing firm. On 1 July 2025, she joined ACE English School as a part-time phonics and creative writing teacher under the Reach Skyline educational initiative.
Literary Career
Abraham debuted with T.E.A.R.S. (2024), an LGBTQIA+ romantic comedy and coming-of-age novel exploring identity, relationships, and healing.
Her second novel, Children of The Dead (2025), received widespread acclaim for its deep emotional themes. It won the International Book Award, TRI Literary Award, and Goa Literary Award.
She is currently working on her third novel, The Black Widow (La Viuda Negra), to be published by Leadstart Publishing. The story is set in Madrid, Spain, and explores themes of identity, resilience, and transformation.

Hannah resides in Anna Nagar East, Chennai. During her academic years, she won prizes in spelling bees, singing contests, and memory games organized by Pirouette French Cultural programs.
She advocates for multilingual education, gender inclusivity in literature, and youth engagement in the arts and storytelling.
