Sairaj Gandhe (born 8 April 1997) is an Indian actor, author, filmmaker, model, and digital content creator from Telangana. He is best known for his appearances in the Telugu television comedy segment Jajjanakari Janare on V6 News and for writing the book The Art of Digital Storytelling.

Early life and education

Sairaj Gandhe was born on 8 April 1997 in Warangal, Telangana, India. He completed his early education in Warangal, where he participated in both academic and extracurricular activities. During his school years, he took part in sports such as kho kho, badminton, carrom, and kabaddi, and represented his school in district-level kabaddi tournaments. He also participated in cultural programmes, which developed his interest in performing arts and public speaking.

After completing his schooling, Gandhe enrolled at Kakatiya University, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) in Computer Applications. During his university years, he developed an interest in digital media, communication, and storytelling, which later contributed to his work as an actor, author, filmmaker, model, and digital content creator.

Personal life

Sairaj Gandhe was born into a Telugu family in Warangal, Telangana. He is the son of Yadagiri Gandhe and Padma. His younger brother, Saikrishna Gandhe, is a director associated with the Telugu short film industry.

Apart from his professional work, Gandhe has expressed an interest in drawing, visual arts, literature, and digital media.

Career

Sairaj Gandhe began his acting career in the Telugu entertainment industry through independent short films and digital productions. He appeared in the Telugu short film Friendship (2017) in a lead role, followed by Tobacco Add TV Funny Spoof (2018).

In addition to acting, Gandhe has worked as a model and digital content creator. In 2026, he published The Art of Digital Storytelling, a non-fiction book on digital media, storytelling, acting, and creative expression.

Awards and recognition

Sairaj has received recognition for his contributions to acting and extracurricular activities.

  • In 2022, he received the Best Actor Award at the Kavulaku Kalaakarulaku Athmiya Sammelan for his performances in Telugu short films and spoof videos.
  • During the same year, he was recognised in The Hindu's Our State Our Taste programme, where his sambar recipe received the Life Spice Award – Telangana, along with a participation certificate.
  • In 2011, while studying at ZPPS Mamnoor Camp, he was recognised for maintaining excellent attendance and was presented with an English dictionary as an academic encouragement award.
